INVISIBLE PORTRAITS by RIVER LIN

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2019

18:00 to 21:00

In a portrait, what is beyond one's visible feature, figure, and gestures? And what will happen if depicting one's portrait without seeing the physical face and body? In a one-on-one setting, River Lin draws portraits of gallery visitors while blindfolded, sensing a person's presence through body contact, conversations or simply "gazing" in silence. At the end of the performance, the artist names the visual message delivered to each participant.
